Hey all,
Thought I’d share a little Arduino SWCAN logger I’ve been using.
You will need to install Arduino IDE to your pc and Install the MCP library by clicking on sketch in the tool bar then include library and then add .zip library and select the file attached below.
Then open the project and send to the Arduino.
It’s currently set to only show these IDs:
0x24C
0x64C
0x101
You can change those to whatever IDs you want to log.
Wiring is pretty simple.
CAN H from the MCP2515 to OBD pin 1 (SWCAN)
CAN L from the MCP2515 to OBD pin 4 (Ground)
Power the Arduino from USB
Next you log the serial output by using serial monitor in Arduino IDE and setting the baud rate to 115200, I use putty as it has the option to log to a text file and set up is pretty well the same you select the com port the Arduino is using and set the baud rate to 115200 and connection type to serial.
