OK I've got a VR series II and after doing a loging run noticed that the Quad Driver Fault was active.
Looked through the log and nothing specific Just the Quad Driver no DTC's or serious operating faults that are causing a noticable change.
Two questions
Is this serious as i haven't done any basic fault finding on it yet?
And after trawling through many forums both here and OS there doesn't seem to be much info about them
They are a 4 way ic switch that operate various functions, mostly for the trans from what I've seen
It would appear that they are ECU specific as the info seemed to vary between forums/manufacturers.
I was wondering if anyone knew more about them could they add to the info????

Re: Quad Driver Fault
I think the quad drivers are auto trans solenoid drivers.
If you want I can have a look in the service manual and see if there is any other info. From memory I think the procedure checks all external coil resistances and ultimatley you may have to replace the PCM.
