(luv the obdlink vx needed this year ago) would the global protocall be better? should i read my car n gel ls droid outa of baby step mode to try recovery ??????????? i attached the write screenshot with logs and the failed attempt no screenshot.

Edit: must have unlocked pcm with obdlink sx or i know i got to the point in the pics with that tool (cal blocks different n same as it was failed clone on sx behalf on account the 2 never made it in, so wouldnt identify itsself ect but booted) must have floated in that mem with my doings here sry i have 8 ish p04 i play with

we've recently figured out there are a lot of p04 bins out in the wild missing the paramater block. its likely you wrote one of those and it cleared the security key info. Then you wrote a good bin and it went back to normal. Grab the latest test version of pcmhammer from github and it'll detect these bad files and block you from writing them.

Can you post up the bad file? I'll see if I can see anything odd with it.

ok it is edited i tryed to do wrx i think add performance shift custom code, i changed the bytes in a bin editor to match the file he had in ada with the new and old changed bits shared, maybe i oofed. also disabled rear o2, limiters of speed, and 02 diag. i flipped the switch on the flash securitry option and checksum too. probably the problem. it still unlocks once then wont talk to me anymore lol thanks for the hard work my guy. miss australia i do. oh n i turned on the debounce to 200ms or 25ms, and enabled the performance shift button in case i got the custom code wring. the madison bin is a fresh ecu with the newest cal updates from gm flashed to it, read it and edited in universal patcher, Tuner Pro, or tiny tuner with ever had native support for my os, 12223462. the one that went arry n i had 2 days earlier downloaded latest pcm hammer. the bin 00GTP ps new was the read i did just before writing madison.bin and 00GTP was the read i pulled a year ago when i first got the car and realised it didnt have its og ecu af PS worked after a switch re install. said zzp underhood too but dont see their mappings init.

The files look ok from a basic look. The checksums are all good, the parameter blocks are there with valid looking data. I cant verify the performance shift mode operating system code change this side, though. I assume you are attempting to apply patches similar to this? viewtopic.php?p=133863#p133863

ImageWas able to o fix it, flashed original. Bin and the performance shift is back in my car. Some pictures are before it had this serial number and ended up having to flash the bin twice as the first time when I selected the file. It was a recovery. I was able to slip
The right kernel in on the very odd and few times it would actually chatter.
Receive or send messages?
Not gonna lie. It was about a 5 hour process of just spamming the Reed properties until shit worked and pcm hammer, or it said something. And then trying to write ellestroid was able to get the right kernel uploaded, but then it wasn't able to erase. So I went to PCM hammer, no luck back the illustroid, and it did the recovery, which booted it in the butt enough to Allow me to write the bin and always will from os 12223462 back to 12201788
