Ecotec bell variations?

Post by AngelMarc »

Anybody know ecotec bellhousing variation. Specifically the US stuff. Apparently other areas got some goofy stuff labled ecotec, like the 3800.
Apparently some ecotec dowl pins line up with the GM 60 degree pattern. Recently became interested in the 1.8L, like 2008-2016 Chevy Cruze. Hoping that's the same as the larger 2.2 and 2.4.

The 1.8 uses a timing belt instead of the poorly designed chains most use anymore. That, OHC, and all aluminum. Ticks a lot of boxes I want for a project car. If the dowels line up, that's an easy adapter plate.

My 1989 Jeep YJ trans and an older 2.2(?) non direct injection ecotec.
