Minimum airflow closed loop

Post by plang »

Hi all,

I'm using a Vt $a5g Enhanced bin and xdfs on my turbo 6 and i'm having trouble with the car going into closed loop whilst on decel which is causing the fueling to jump around like crazy and sometimes causes it to be quite jerky. i there any minimum airflow for closed loop parameter or something to force it back to open loop in this situation? my o2 sensor is a 2 wire non heated unit which is probably not helping.

Also for PE, i noticed there is a throttle position multiplier but being turbo i would rather be able to vary afr with airflow under load, is this possible?

Edit: i meant PE above not AE

O2 sensor location is probably the issue. Where are yours located ?

AE works perfect as is, usually barely have to touch them on turbo setups, sounds to me. You have a few hardware setup issues.
Whats the specs of the build and what turbo manifolds ?

o2 sensor is in the downpipe approx 600mm ish from the turbo. i have plans to move it to the other location in the downpipe where my wideband is and put my wideband further down stream as i have also been killing lsu4.9 sensors and i figured further down stream may help. Manifolds are ancient, the guy i got them off (in 2014) said they were a tonyz garage unit. so log style passenger, stock driver and a crossover under the bellhousing. Also i typod in my OP and meant PE not AE, Ill edit it.

Rest of the car is stock, just injectors. Turbo is an ebay special 3582 running about 14psi

Don't you mean decel enleanment?

The PCM should be in closed loop when cruising normally. Under some decel conditions it will cut fuel. There are a heap of parameters for DE including airflow thresholds, you should be able to turn it off using the RPM enable/disable threshold.
