No change in target air fuel ratio log
This one has me stumped. 12P. My target air fuel ratio maps starts at 14:1 and under boost is set to 11:1 but the log shows it fixed under all driving conditions at 14.7:1. I do have the O2 sensor turned off and am logging a wideband which seems to reasonably accurate now but can't see what is causing the log to be fixed on 14.7:1.

What numbers are you using in this table?
Map A: A/F Ratio - 20-100kPa Air Fuel ratio vs RPM and MAP

the low end at idle 14:1 and under boost 11:1. but even under boost it still says 14.7:1 when the wideband it displaying 12:1. I'm going to do a log on my other car and see what it displays.

Re: No change in target air fuel ratio log
Just took a quick log on my other car cold it started off at 10:1 and after a minute it was 12.5:1 so the program works but will need to do some comparisons to see why it's fixed on 14.7:1 on the other car.

Re: No change in target air fuel ratio log
Yes, that would be the cold start table offset.
What temp thermostat do you run? At 71°C ECT it would still be operating with a cold AFR offset from the main target AFR table.
At the end of the day the actual AFR is what matters and it seems to be where you want it. Having the target AFR display correctly is a bonus, especially if you are using the Target Vs Wideband AFR to tune.

Re: No change in target air fuel ratio log
Thanks for the info. So the target map in the bin file has no effect on the outcome? I thought it did. I have the minimum temps both around 50 odd degrees and the ambient temp was probably around 15 when I did that log this morning. I suppose I should run the engine till the temp gets up and see what happens with the target readings. Maybe it's a bug I haven't seen before. I was hoping to compare the 2 values in the tuning process.

Re: No change in target air fuel ratio log
There is a flag to turn off AE and DE that you might have changed for steady state tuneing. That sounds more like AE and DE than lock to 14.7, but it sounds like some flag like that. If unsure compare your bin to a stock 12P bin in tunerpro to see whats changed then look down the list and see if any changes (particularly flags) look like they could be the cause.

Re: No change in target air fuel ratio log
Thanks antus. I have just done 2 things a log of the other car at operating temp and yes it jumps around with throttle snapping showing the changes and also did a compare of the bin files on both cars. The only thing that stands out is a flag like you say and it's not ticked on the trouble car and that's MAP A set use AE after start enrichment. I have no idea what that is for but will tick the box and see if that fixes the problem.
Error it's ticked on the trouble car but not the one that's working.

Re: No change in target air fuel ratio log
Thanks guys. It was that flag antus mentioned. I thought all things labelled AE were to do with acceleration enrichment and am surprised it's to do with displaying map data from the bin file. It's all working fine now so again thanks for the input.

Re: No change in target air fuel ratio log
I think the AE is what makes it change around so much, so the wording of the item might be in the inverse, that is it was a disable. And because its not a normal operating thing, maybe it hard locks AFR to 14.7, or maybe most your AFR table is 14.7. Either way, glad you found it, good outcome.
