While away from the dyno, i thought I wonder if i could upgrade the dyno to use a Canbus wideband & or pull information in via CAN.
Got started on that front, then thought. I wonder if i can make the software think everything is connected? So gave claude some captured log files, sent it in the direction of the app's install dirs to work out what communicated over what interface wise (FTDI vs CAN). Last big problem to solve was the Inlet Air Temp sensor to get rid of a on screen fault.
End Result, It all works in a simulated fashion to a 100% un-modified dyno application. Only difference will be the source of the CAN data currently coming from a playback log vs a real can device. Packets transfer method will be completely identical to real world device.
