VY series 2 cross 8 tuning

Hello ALl

Newbie here , is this vehicle able to have the maps accessed (retuned)?

if so, could you direct me in the right direction please, I looked at the forum and couldnet find mention of it other then the vy V6

If it has the LSX series engine then you can remove the flash chip and read/write it with a burner.
Other than that you willneed to spend quite a lot of money to buy efi live ,ls1 edit ,hp tuners or tuner cat .
Im thinking about connecting my ostrich to a flash chip socket which would allow real time tuning ,but an xdf will have to be developed first.

Ok with this , how is the data than manipulated ?

the engine the 2004 build v8 which is the LS1 I think .

The LS1s have flash memory meaning you can download and upload tunes with the right hardware and software (listed above). You would gather data driving around or on the dyno, edit the tune offline then send it to the car. Realtime is only possible with a modified ECU, such as the roadrunner from moates.

for editing you will probably need the efilive or hp tuners software which you get with the flash tuner tool

i have socketed a pcm for such occasions
