Do you have a proper interface? If so which interface? You cant just wire usb wires direct to the ecu if thats what you were thinking.....

the usb comms board that vl400 sells im going to get usb comms board and the nvram for the vp delco 808

They both come with instructions for install, the USB has 5 wires to solder to the ECU and the NVRAM has 1. The USB comms wiring connects to where the missing chip is inside the ECU.
