I Use an Ostrich2 and am very impressed with it, although sometimes setting it up with the right offsets (banks) can be a little fiddly.
Having said that, I also have an order in for some of VL400's NVRAM stuff and mod'd ECU's.
It all depends what vehicles you are tuning.
You will find most support on this site is for VL400's stuff, there are a few of us also using the Ostrich that maybe able to help.

ok so i am slowly getting the picture,i think i will stick with vl400's gear for now ,he seems to have a good handle on things,i am curious what is the meaning of offsets,also i am looking at the inovate ox sensor,i don't need there display do i ?i wire it directly ,is this right,i also have another question,actually got thousands but,anyway ,all of the tune files that i see on here are files or tunes that have been modified ,but do i need to use them or can i modify my own vehicles file to suite my own application,have i got this right or not ?cheers

The chips are different capacities, so sometime the bin fits but doesnt fill the memcal. It needs to end at end of the chip, so the offset is how far in to start so the end is in the right place.

You dont need a screen on the wideband o2 sensor, but its a good idea as you can see whats going on easily when your in the car and can see at a glance if its going lean and back off before you do damage.

If you just want to build efi race engines, you should proabably always use 256kbit (which is 32kb) chips so there is no offset for ose12p and on '808 ecus. Thats the most flexible, best defined and cheapest option, and suits 2 to 8 cylinder, with or without boost.

i actually understand all of that thank you for explaining it to me,i do have another question does the ose 12p 111 have 3d graph capability and if so how do i access it,cheers

12P is just a bin that runs on the ECM, you are talking Tunerpro functionality with the 3d graphs. when you open a table in tunerpro, just click on the little graph icon to open the 3d graph, then holt ctrl and drag on the graph to rotate it

Load the matching adx under aquisition, and then load log.

using tuner pro you go to the aquisition menu and the is an option to load the definition, usually people post this with the log file. ... if not you'll need to work it out somehow.

then in the same menu goto load log file and select the xdl file, then use the dash, historgram, monitor and list views to see the info in the log!
