vs auto problem

hi my mate has a vs v6 auto it has lost 1st 3rd and 4th gear only works in second gear. he has a vp v6 auto gearbox can he use that he also has a vs manual ecu but it wont know about tcc lockup thanks is there a way to use the vp auto box thanks

you could make it work with a vs v6 auto pcm i think just disable the auto codes .... not 100% sure on that....

another option is you can always run it on a vn/vp computer and loom etc ...

do you have reverse? Could be just shift solenoids

rever works sorta and starts to slip some gears work then slip bad changed fluid and filter made it a little better

im not to sure if the vs pcm will do the vp tcc lockup wish i knew about the software side of things lol

both 1-2 and 2-3 has to be ON for reverse, if you have 2nd and some reverse then 2-3 could be stuck ON, but could be anything, scantool can command solenoids on and off

1st gear 1-2 ON 2-3 ON
2nd gear 1-2 OFF 2-3 ON
3rd gear 1-2 OFF 2-3 OFF
4th gear 1-2 ON 2-3 OFF

the transmission fluid was very dirty and alot of metal filings in it

yea so would a vs manual ecu somehoe run a vp gearbox the only issue is the tcc lockup

yeh if it's 700 box then it's hydraulic so only tcc wouldn't lockup, but you could prob wire up a switch if you wanted to enable it when you want, seen guys do that before.
