Hey guys
have got a vr v6 to have a look at tomorrow for a guy , he has fitted a 70mm throttle body and not it has the usual high idle with the bigger t/b
I havent needed to change a tune to suit the t/b size before but if anyone knows whats needed to do would save me some tinkering time tomorrow
thanks in advance Rod

Re: V6 70mm throttle body idle
could be as simple as the butterfly needs to be closed more for the bigger TB. the IAC should do the rest.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: V6 70mm throttle body idle
most of the time it's just the tps not on right, just check it's at 0%, some tps's ive had to drill the holes out slightly more to get it to sit at 0% even though there all the same it's weird, there ment to self correct back to 0% after a few key turns but some dont!

Re: V6 70mm throttle body idle
iv put a few 70mm s on v8s over the time and just had to close the butterfly pretty much right up and just crack it so it doesnt stick
i thought the v6 may have needed more attention to the iac settings however i looked and nothing jumped out at me that would be an obvious thing to change without testing , hence the post lol
I only just got home from work and the car is here so ill check it out tomorrow and see how i go
thanks guys appreciate it
