Hi, Im just starting to get into the delco world. I have just installed a L67 supercharged V6 into my Ute that had a manual ecotec. I was planning to swap the ECU for a VY L67 one i have, and the loom aswell but having big problems sourcing a loom (thats not a complete rip off) so im taking a new approach.
Is it possible and what will i need to be able to burn a L67 tune onto my current ECU? I Havnt got my ECU service number on me but im pretty sure its the non-removable memcal type.
Thanks for any help and sorry if this has already been covered.

I have heard of people just modding the bin to suit!
So you'll need to go to 213.67 for inj rate, disable the EGR & mask a few codes & then start editing away for best result!

Thanks, that sounds perfect. what hardware will i need to do this?
With my ECU, the non removable memcal type. Do i just simply need an ALDL cable and appropriate software such as tunerpro to mod the bin?

Re: How to get L67 tune onto a VY NA ute ECU
I have been reading about flash tool here https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=82
It says "The requirements are that the ECM or PCM is fitted with a NVRAM in place of the memcal loaded with a write capabale bin (ie OSE code) and you have an interface for data - either over the vehicles 8192baud ALDL port or an add-on board for the early 160baud ECMs to allow 8192 ALDL"
My memcal cannont be removed, how can i use nvram and flash tool. this is the part im getting confused about.
How do people alter the ECU's with soldered in memcals?

VX & VY flash pcms have been supported since version 1.2. See here for notes about the process.

Thanks for the link, i had only read the first post of the Flashtool thread where it had the first version so i was getting really confused. That cleared it all up for me.
Who is a good person to get a ALDL cable from? Are they all the same or is there new and old versions of this aswell?
Apologies for all the noob questions. This forum is a great help!

Re: How to get L67 tune onto a VY NA ute ECU
I asked VL400 the same question a week ago & said so long as they communicate it's all good!
From what I hear vl's 1 is really good, but I did tell my friend to get the moates 1 as it does different connectors for other models, but shipping from the states is a bit expensive!
Other people may have better ideas as I haven't been doing this for as long as a lot of the other followers!
Cheers VX L67 Getrag(may it be looked after)

Have you done a read off your pcm?
There are a few different variant so really need to go off the cal id code something like 92118883!
then we'll definitely know what variant & what XDF to use!
