Yeah 60 deg on inlet temp is low, I had mine moved into the manifold itself(most accurate, but thats on V6 where V8 come in the manifold I think?) & on cruise was 40 to 60 but keep your foot into it on boost & will climb over 90 deg's within 10 seconds or so!

Thanks for the info and help guys. Will check the timing in diag mode.
Checked a/f ratios there ok
manifold air temp sensor is mounted into the manifold itself into the aluminium

60 degree inlet temps are starting to get up there if its on boost temp not just sitting there idling temp and will cost power .they read hot when you dont have much throttle on or idling but on boost you want to be close to ambient temp.sometimes it takes a while on boost to cool the sensor if its sat idling for a while as the sensor reads the temp of the alloy when the manifold gets hot not real air temp. at 15psi on a hot day 30* with a 300x450x76 cooler we sit between 30-40* max on a hard 10-15km drive and i mean hard LOL a 300x600x76 it never gets much above 30 LOL
at 60 degrees you are starting to think about pulling timing at 80 you end up pulling timing and richening it up to stop them wanting to ping 90+ avoid boosting all together and invest in better cooling LOL

Ive got a elcheapo 600 300 76 cooler sitting there. But i used a avo stage 2 vl cooler as its smaller and fitted easier and the inlet outlet on the same side meant plumbing was easier and shorter runs. But the let down was smaller cooler and the outlet of the intercooler is only 2 1/4 inch. My pipework is only 2.5 inch on the cold side also. 2 1/4 on the hot side. Was told the 2.5 inch cold side pipework was good for up to 300kw at the wheels which is all im aiming for

Been told from turbo to cooler no point going bigger than turbo outlet size and after cooler no point going bigger than throttle body inlet size

its no different to NA and n/a has a 3" pipe feeding the TB with turbo you arnt actually forcing the air through the pipe you are compacting air so its more dense it still flows into the engine due to a low pressure area in the chamber just the same principles apply remove any restrictions or tight bends. the only time i would go small pipes would be making a drifter that needs ultimate throttle response for a high power streetcar that tears your face off ide be using 3" LOL
