Re: My Delcoed Rides
well its a dream come true for me running a car down the strip!
i agree Yoda, the crow info said 8.7 inch plus .1 (holden super duty for solid lifters) .... so i figured super duty would mean hardened, but as it turns out it means they are thicker walled, as you can see in the pic .080 wall.

Re: My Delcoed Rides
well with all the rocker gear sorted i was able to put the balancer on the motor and get the pulleys all lined up!
so for those interested in the 202 with serpentine pulleys here is some pics
i'll go to the shops tomorrow and see if i can find a 875-910mm serpentine belt!

Re: My Delcoed Rides
Coming together nicely
If you fit 2 alternator brackets together(like the 1st pic), it may stop them from cracking as they have a habit of doing with higher revs, they can also be tack welded. I've marked the 2nd pic with texta, this one is cracked near the bolt hole.

Re: My Delcoed Rides
i've never had an issue with them cracking in the past, but its worth keeping in mind .... also im hoping with the belt i just got from super cheap auto today that my alternator will be right in on the adjuster in which case should be less chance of it breaking.

Re: My Delcoed Rides
well shes all but ready to go in now, need to install a cam tunnel welsh plug and die grind a bit out of the tappet cover (rockers hit it) but aside from that shes done and dusted.
Thought i'd post a final pic also gives a good shot of the finished serpentine belt setup!
now one mod i've just completed is an upgrade of the baffle in the tappet cover, normally this plate is bent enough to fit inside the tappet cover and pushed to the top, being spring loaded it holds itself against the edges, but i have had it fall out once or twice in the past and sit on top of the rockers, obviously making a lovely noise!
this plate covers the PCV fitting in the back of the tappet cover.
so i wanted to fix this issue once and for all so i figured why not make an alloy baffle and weld it into the top of the tappet cover ..... so i did
hopefully should never have another issue with it again!
