My first log

Post by Streetholden »

So after i discovered my car was being a bitch i decided to go out and go for a log.
So i got myself 9 error codes. 22, 32, 66, 73, 76, 81, 82, 83. Basically its telling my out of no where my transmission fucked all of its solenoids. TPS should be fine, it was only replaced a few months ago, MAF i had a VT V6 one in at that stage. My VS V6 one is back in. And i know my oxys are closed to fucked. I just find it odd that my transmission was close to fine (my converter is shitting itself slowly) and the next day all the sensors shit themselves.

I cant figure it out, so what im after is someone to help me decode my log and explain what to look out for and such. Because for all those sensors to fail, i wouldnt be able to go for a drive.

that log looks to be full of errors, you need a good connection. if the gauges in the dash are jumping around and data error is flashing you need to reconnect. keep trying until its a good connection. what cable are you using?

Im using a ELM 327 cable. I bought it off ebay for about $80 awhile ago. I didnt think the dash would matter to much as i thought it would just log data. It seems to work alright in efi live tho.

ELM327 is not really the right cable. The adx files are not set up for it. You need one that doesnt need to be put in to ALDL mode, but just is ALDL from the onset.

One of these:

I have one and highly recommend.
Alternatively there is info around to make your own or get one from ebay. The one above is known to work and actively supported on this forum.
Stay away from the old 2 transistor type if you are making your own though.
