Re: IAC on turbo v8 Help needed
ESC params - Coolant temp enable watch out it only pulls upto 8 degrees unless you change the max retard value and it only works up to 3600rpm after that the engine is on its own LOL you can turn the rpm up and see how you go it all depends on the internal noise of each engine as to how high you can turn it up i have got away with 4600 on the v6 with no false triggering
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

Re: IAC on turbo v8 Help needed
Well car has been running good for about a week
got it running on 10psi but for some reason it creeps to 11 sometimes not all the time sounds very strange yes i know , gotta look into it as 10psi is the borderline on a stock head gasket engine by what ive seen.
Done about 100k's on 10psi runs good just waiting on a new clutch.
Fitted knock sensor (but had to turn it of
) checked resistance on it before i fitted it was 3.9k ohms Got told it should be around 3.8 so close enough
Wired it to pin b11
But im getting a check engine light DTC43
Towards end of next week when im doing the clutch il check the resistance on the wiring just incase it got damaged when i ran the cable.
Not much else i can think of as it has a hsv memcal (maybe playing up cause of my ostrich but i couldnt see it causing that to happen)
All wiring joints soldered and heatshrinked and the pin i used feals like its in well

Re: IAC on turbo v8 Help needed
Im back. Tried knock sensor again today it works dont know what i was doing wrong last time.
Here is a log on 10psi (wastegate spring) all up since getting the turbo on, done about 600 -700 k's on the car. Around 150ks on 10psi now
Just dropped diff ratio down from 3.9 to 3.45 as it was fun on 3.9s but the gears just fealt 2 short.
Knock sensor looks like it was a waste of time as 1 part of my turbo manifold touches just on my kframe
and im 99% shore this is what is setting of the knock sensor. As i think my timing on straight lpg is pritty safe. Also mixtures mesured on my wideband are .8 to .82 lambda at full throttle, around .9 at cruise
Here is a log below if anyone of you gurus wants to look over it and tell me if it all looks safe to drive on.
Ignore the fuel side a/f ratios oxy sensor, as its on straight lpg and dont use any of that stuff

Re: IAC on turbo v8 Help needed
its hard to declare safe without seeing wideband, but the timing is safe, if not too low
. it will go like poo with all that knock retard happening all the time, id turn that sensor back off and maybe go back to the ping ear.

Re: IAC on turbo v8 Help needed
can you modify the turbo manifold or the k frame to stop it hitting ?
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!
Just starting out? Have a read of the getting started guide

Knock sensor is off for now. Cant modify kframe with hammer
without removing the manifolds which is 2 much work for now when the rest of the car is running 100%. Rather give k frame a couple of hits with the hammer as the manifolds are like 3-4mm steam pipe. But if i ever gotta take em off il sus it all out nothing major to fix up
You could feal the knock sensor killing the fun of when it come in car just died in the ass.
Mixtures are .80 to .82 lambda at fullthrottle so i think there safe
cruise is around .90 -.95 or so
