I did not realise we were missing BRHR. I got a read of it back in may, and was pretty sure I posted it. (checks).. Yeah its under $51B in the VS bins section.

Out of curiosity, what is the difference with police tunes and PCMs? I have seen a couple pop up now and then with police or RFI and get images of Fast and the Furious with cops shooting spears into cars disabling computers.

Nothing really higher idle is about it, the pcms usually have shielding I think to help prevent theft and have rfi protection

Re: Manual Police VS V6 PCM?
Dr Bob clarified in this thread here regarding the idle. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopi ... 743#p13750 . Its just the VT 5.0.
The RFI (radio frequency interfearance) is because they have multiple transmitting 100w radios on board. CB band is legally limited to about 5w so that should put in to perspective how much radio signal can be in the area of those cars! I used to know of a courier's van with a 30w radio on board and the RF in the air made the indicator blinker literally buzz when it was transmitting as the internal timing capacitor charged from the RF about 100x quicker than it was meant to and tried to turn the blinker in to a strobe light.Doctor Bob wrote:they have a different part number so the production line can id them for assembly,
the only ones with any changes were VT 5.0, the idle in P/N was increased to help keep charge in the battery when idling with the roof lights going.
VR ones have the broadcast code in the memcal (PROMIDA, PROMIDB) changed too, this is to allow eprom identification with the factory scan tools.

Thanks for the replies, not as exciting as the Fast and the Furious theory, but more realistic
