l67 intercooling.....
whats the difference to tuning A2A compared to W2A? the only difference i can figure is a longer path from supercharger to LIM?
i know tuning W2A is basically the same as not intercooled as in there is a small path to the LIM with the difference being cooler air to add more boost/timing etc. but with A2A i'm informed that it needs to be properly tuned or else you'll get idle/running problems? due to the extra length in travel.
has anyone tuned A2A and knows what the tricks are?

so i've found out whats required to tune the 2.
but what is better to have more boost less timing or less boost more timing? obviously with the perfect option of more boost more timing lol

it's an air pump, so bigger cam or roller rockers can help cram more air in with more boost, different coolers will change the density of the air, so depending on setup will determine what pully would be best.

I haven't tuned much else other than a bunch of l67s and a few 5l but with the l67 the m90 is prone to heat soak. No biggy but if you want repeatable and "healthy" for engine longevity kind if power IMO the least amount of boost an max timing is what makes a faster car. This way you can lean em out after the meat of the torque curve to ride the kw home easierdrift-it wrote:so i've found out whats required to tune the 2.

this makes sense, after a few drag runs 3-4 my times always start getting slower. pop the bonnet and i could literally cook up a bbq with the heat coming from the charger alone. in dumbdumb terms more timing is sort of lot "extra boost" but after the charger therefore bypassing the heat of the charger?
i've only got 1.9:1 rockers, 4" intake, extractors/highflows so i probably couldnt go much higher then 10 anyway. i just like the whine and wanted more

On a stock cam you can get good improvements but the stock L67 cam is the same as an ecotec cam albeit retarded a couple of degrees lol. Sort of pushing it up hill if you want to lean on it even if you are cooled. I've beaten alot of cooled cars with mine when it was uncooled due to having good intake/ heads/ cam/ ported charger/ exhaust etc etc going on.
The good thing about a stock cammed and cooled car is you can get great torque up to the mid range but it quickly falls over once the cooler can't process the heat caused by the restriction of boost in the higher revs due to possibly running out of flow with rpm.
I tuned a VY recently with stock cam, pacie 5061s, twin 2.25" with stock cats, tower of terror W2A with a 77mm pulley on a lightly ported charger, 3.73:1 diff gears and that was all. It made around 170rwkw with a 600 something Nm read out (don't quote me, can't remember exactly) but the car was stupid fast which is the bottom line. We had it shifting at 5000rpm only on the 1-2 and 5200rpm 2-3 because there was no point going further power wise.
