Here's the site that got me going not sure if i'll attempt my own carby inserts or just order the Patton ones. What are the injectors he uses in the kit, they don't look familiar to me.

Re: Which ECU
can't say i've ever seen that one before either.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: Which ECU
They look like GM TBI injectors.

They're ususally a low-pressure injector, ~12psi.

Re: Which ECU
Thinking of turning up my own inserts for 3x CD175 strombergs (on 3l six). What would be a good injector to look at using, want to keep height down so they can be covered. Are the ones above easy to get hold of?

Re: Which ECU
Generally TBI injectors are low impedance so the '808 ECU cant run them, will need some that are around 15 ohms - might have to wander around some wrecking yards with a multimeter.

Re: Which ECU
According to my research it can run one or two low impedance peak and hold TBI injectors with the right wiring (is one of the four cylinder cars set up like this?) but its second hand info and I haven't tested it. I gave up on the TBI idea because the '808 only has one injector driver which doesn't really allow for decent low rpm control with injectors large enough to deliver the required fuel at high rpm/wot.VL400 wrote:Generally TBI injectors are low impedance so the '808 ECU cant run them, will need some that are around 15 ohms - might have to wander around some wrecking yards with a multimeter.

Re: Which ECU
There were some n13 pulsars/LD astras that were delco tbi, but most were mpfi.

Re: Which ECU
I tested the ECU for peak and hold awhile back but couldnt get it to limit the current, it looks like all the hardware is there so might also need a software config. There is an injector earth (pin D3 and D10) and a current sense earth (D9), these get connected together from what I could tell.

Re: Which ECU
Yeah the info I have says to disconnect the D10 earth and instead jumper it to D9, but useless information here really I guess
