Gunnedah on the 17th-18th March, perfect place to try things. Plenty of runs.

yeah im going to try and get some springs before gunnedah so the tailshaft stops hitting the floor and then have a bit of a play there .... will be way less traction on the air strip though so might not be so easy to test launches but we'll see!

yeah stalling on the brakes is damn hard especially without a good handbrake.i struggled at the drags pushing through the lights going come on green im gonna redlight here.yet on the street i could go hard on the brakes and handbrake and go WOT 7-9PSI let it go and powerskid 1st 2nd 3rd LOL, but the stock v6 convertor turned into a slippy highstall after a few of them launches  i should cut the convertor open and see if any fins are bent.
you could get a cheap highstall if you have a 6 cylinder box we used to fit 4 cylinder torque convertors into 202's as highstalls :driving: and you got a 6 cylinder one and had it modded for v8 shaft to highstall a 308 cheap

Convertors from the Gemini was a common "hi-stall" conversion for a Holden 6, but still only about 2800rpm, they are not that easy to find now.

Traction isn't quite the same as the WSID, but still not to bad. :driving:

if i change the stall i'll probably try and go for a 3500-4000rpm converter and spend the right dollars on it, no use going halfway between that and what i have now.

but that ain't going to happen for a while, need to save coin and im not even sure i want to put funds towards that, i'd prefer put them into the LS1 :) but i will be cracking a 12 before i pull the 202!

You'll crack a 12 with the combo you have have now. 13.04,13.05, 13.08 your almost there.
I sat on 13.3 for almost 18 months with my Holden 6, just couldn't get it to go quicker. I changed it over to methanol, then ran a 12.72 @ 104mph. It's all "old school" stuff & a manual.

Using the Moroso slide rule it makes (car weighs 1200kg,)230hp at the tyres, 217hp on the dyno in shootout mode.
