Few Quick Questions...

Post by Brados »

I am using the flash PCM for MAF tuning a L67.

Are the injector multiplier values limited to .9 to 1.104? i cant seem to put in values outside this.

My throttle % never hits 100%, occasionally gets as high as 80%. How do i raise this?
Comparing the mass airflow with the "Maximum mass airflow vs RPM" table it seems to correspond very closely and looks like the cause, can i set all these to 300?

The injector multiplier is only limited by the XDF - if you right click the item and click edit paramter XDF info can change the low and high range. Its likely not the table you should be tuning with though, its more for injector specs than actual fuel tuning.

The 80% max throttle is likely just the way the calibration is, there is a gain figure but I dont think it is defined in the XDF. I would just check that the throttle plate is fully open first.

The max air flow vs RPM table is part of the torque management system, try increasing this slightly to see what changes - there may be other tables that will also be limiting things, havnt looked at the torque management code for awhile :(

I think the xdf your using has min & max values for injector multiplier set at what your saying to show red fir rich & blue for lean, but I found with doing that although it looks good it does stop you adjusting past those min & max values!

You can make them higher or lower in xdf or do as I did & just get rid of them all together!

Thanks! I havnt had a chance to experiment with the maximum airflow tables yet, but its next after i get fueling sorted.

Im trying to disable BLMs but cant seem to raise LTFT minimum temp above 63.75 which is still below operating temp, tried altering the xdf but didnt seem to work the same. How do i disable BLM's?
Also do i disable STFT's aswell?

Is this correct, by disabling the LTFT's the computer wont alter any fueling but it will still calculate LTFT values which can be monitored and then used to fine tune the fueling?

Again I think that ltft(blm) enable temp isn't quite right calc in the xdf, although it says 63.75 I think you'll find it's something like 120 & is actually disabled, just confirm by your logs to see if ltft is going off zero!

B.T.W. Disabling ltft's does exactly that anything over the max value of stft it won't go passed, but still has the stft's in affect unless you disable them too!
