vs v8 manual no fuel pump or injectors

Post by rynxy »

I've got a vs v8 manual. When i turn the ignition on the security light under the radio goes off, EFI relay operates but i have no power coming out of the fuel pump wire from the ecu and no injector pulse. I'm told that the key and barrel have been replaced and programmed into the BCM.
Could this be a VATS issue, or does the fact that the security LED goes out when ignition is on mean that its an ECU fault.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Does anyone knoiw where i can get a pinout diagram for the 16206305 ECU.
Cheers

It does sound like VATS with no injector pulse, however the fuel pump should still prime at key on. If it cranks over the key and BCM must be paired ok.

Wiring is going to be almost identical to this .. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=338

Checked all the fuses, all o.k. Fuel pump is not priming due to faulty oil switch, but fuel pump tests o.k.
Is the VATS in the ecu controlled by the BCM, and if so is it coded to that particular BCM?

if vats is enabled the ecu asks the bcm if security is OK before firing the injectors, and it is coded to the one bcm.

the oil pressure switch has nothing to do with the fuel pump priming, thats either the fuse, relay or ecm telling the relay to prime .... the oil pressure switch only comes into play if the relay circuit fails, once the motor cranks and get oil pressure then the fuel pump will run.

you can unplug the oil switch and make sure its not shorting out stopping the pump priming as well .it will run with it disconnected

There is no power on the Green/White to the fuel pump relay, checked it at the ecu. Power, Ground and Ign at ECU all good. The ECU in the car is not the orignal ECU as car was originally a 6 and is now a V8 but still has the BCM from when it was a 6. Best way to fix this issue??

what memcal is in it? if the fuel pump wire on the ecu isnt working it sounds like either the code on the memcal isnt executing or the ECU isnt getting any power. can you get the 4 letter code off the silver sticker on the memcal and double check that B1, c16 and A6 get power with ignition on?
