LS1 PCM Flashing

Post by matt_297 »

Im after a PCM for my project car im putting an LS1 into. I was wondering if I can get a PCM from the USA and get it reflashed to AUS specs, is that possible at all? Or all the PCM's completely different and wont work at all? I have to get it reflashed anyway to remove VATS and the US is over $150 cheaper to get a PCM from.

Any help is appreciated.

Yeah it can be done pretty easily with commercial software/packages. There is no free software to do it yet, but the hardware is compatible and the OS can be swapped to an aussie one and the vin changed too.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

Is there free software for removing VATS etc for GM units, can any of the 'free' software be used to re-program an Ls1 pcm with factory Gm stuff?Sorry but I'm new to GM workings, have been around late model Ford a fair bit but that a bit different.

I have the stuff to modify LS1B PCM's, I use EFIlive.

I can help you depending on your location.
