ok so my auto is slipping in my VY a bit when i have light throttle but when a 1/4 noise or more its fine
now what i am wondering is what other people are running in there force motor pressure tables? im wanting to increase presure but what is a safe limit to set it to without causing any other issues hardware wise?
i wouldnt mind having full line pressure all the time as my last auto died due to slippage so would like to avoid it with this one... (prob will still kill it )
ive increased it a little from standard but would really like to know peoples opinions and what works for them before i go upping it too much more
Rough guess is the friction discs/bands are worn....
Best way to check the force motor adjustment is buy a gauge about $30
and get a hydraulic hose, plug them into the test port on the trans and use
that to do the adjustment guessing is messy
You tune it via slip rpm, new clutchs will on average be upto 600rpm, ideally down around 300-400, but some no matter how much pressure wont hold that low as there just worn out.
Here's a ruff guide of tune pressure vs box pressure.
One of the tunes iv got uses the performance/ "normal mode 2-3-4 gear pressure offset - force motor pressure (psi) vs tps"
Table for increasing the pressure, i think it may be only for the shifts though?
It uses these numbers against the 17 point tps readings

Those settings on a standard box will make it change like its got a shiftkit
just tune it via the main tables is much better, than you can actually command more line pressure where it's needed. I use history tables to plot out slip RPM to the same table dimensions as the line pressure table. Or you can use monitor view and table tracing while you go through the graph and bump the pressure up on the cell where it's slipping more, rinse and repeat till tranny slip rpm is <600 preferably.
