Easiest way to improve AFR [$12P VE Table w/Wideband]

Post by redcamaro »

Is it possible to moe the entire VE table (3D shape) up or down by (say) 5% to change the AFR by increasing or decreasing all values in the VE table by 5%?

If the vehicle is running rich would the values need to be increased or decreased?

Raising the AFR will make the car run leaner. Example 12:1 = 12 parts air to 1 part fuel.

Not sure how to change entire table, just wait for the pro's to reply.

if you want to change the whole fuel map keep in mind the VE table only gots to 99 so, to make the whole thing richer, you leave the VE table alone and add 5% to the injector flow rate. you only need to change the VE table if you want to change one area of it. in the VE table higher values are richer.

if you did want to adjust a whole table, that can't be offset/scaled by modifying another variable, just open the table in the editor in TunerPro, select all of the values and then use the multiply function (select multiply from the drop down box at the top of the table editor, put the appropriate value in the "value" field, eg 5% = 1.05 and hit execute).
Most tables use 8bit values for the data, so the exact value you want may not be achievable, in which case tunerpro will round to the nearest possible value.

I still can't write RT, need to get a Comms Board. Does anyone (in Perth) want to sell me one?
