VY V6 TO L67 issue

Post by TTVN »

Hey guys.
My uncle got hold of a VX xu6 and decided to put the engine in his VY 1 tonner
i found him a VY l67 harness and got it in and i burnt him the DDRJ xu6 tune off the site and assumed all would be good after a pcm relink for the antitheft

well got it running eventually and its throwin a low speed fan no response code and the fan is running all the time
the cluster is complaining throwing the check engine on the fault screen
the lpg lcd is showing on the cluster screen

the engine intermittently stops but it runs through the gears ok and with my scantool everything seems to be showing ok

the bcm iss throwing a couple of codes which i cant remember

im wondering has anyone else done similar and know how to fix the probs

it seems the pcm is talking one language but the bcm/cluster arent really listening lol

engine vx xu6 l67
pcm vx xu6 l67
memcal DDRJ vy xu6 l67
harness vy l67 auto
bcm stock vy ute/1 tonner
cluster stock vy tonner

thanks Rod

I think that DDRJ is VX and the holden bin thread has it in the wrong spot (will fix it). Try DLTK/DTAZ/DULW for a VY SC.
