$51D XDF & vats

Post by VX L67 Getrag »

I just looked at a tune on a VS & had BWPJ & the guy was complaining of having to hit unlock on car to get it to start each time which as everyone knows is fairly common! I thought just setting the prog ID as AA & disabling VATS would fix this?
There isn’t a XDF for $51D but vats is in the same location as $51E (3818) so it shouldn’t matter, has anyone else looked into this?

I also updated to BWLT as it was the BWPJ fix too, so not all a loss!

Vats just turns off the need for pcm to wait for bcm packet to say its OK to start. Its most likely the ring around the lock and key not making proper contact.

Thanks The1,

Wasn't used to old skool stuff, just found out VS had BCM control earth of starter relay, but VY on(possibly VX s2) had PCM/ECM control earth of starter relay.
