see this thread

https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopi ... &t=29#p109

its got the vr $12 adx in it, thats all you need for logging of $12S as its a standard $12 file, VL400 has added the realtime functions in it for reading/writing the cals while you drive!

Holden202 you will need to help a slow learner. adx file is for scannerpro, is this a better data logging program than tunerpro RT. Though I could use tunerpro RT to both program NVRAM and data log or do I use scannerpro & tunerpro RT. Where have I gone wrong.

well if tunerpro rt works for you data logging then share the secret :D

thus far i haven't had any luck getting it to work without antusprom ....

scanner pro is what i use for data logging and tuner pro for making changes to the tune.

i guess it depends on how you like to tune, but normally i use scanner pro histograms to log BLMS and from these results i dump them into a spreadsheet and then this does some calcs and works out how much the tune needs to be adjusted.

then i put in the current VE table settings and it updates them to show what my new ve table should be, then i just paste that back into tuner pro.

this obviously doesn't work for the 90-100kpa areas ..... but works for most of the rest of the VE table.

let us know if you want more help .... thats what we are all here for!

VN5000 has just posted a mod to the comms board thread, a nice simple 2 component hardware hack to add echo to the serial link. That'll make TP4 work without antusprom (antusprom adds echo too, which is the fix, but its a software hack instead).

https://pcmhacking.net/forums/view ... =173#p2526

Pitty there isnt an automatic way to convert a scanner pro ADX to a tunerpro ADS. At this stage so late in the TP4 game it might be worth waiting for TP5 to hit public beta, as it'll probably be able to load ADX files, and convert it to yet another new TP5 format (at least it'll be automatic!), and since TP5 uses the logging code from scanner pro so it should work without any extra hacks.

If I understand the all your comments correctly, I need to use scannerpro for logging because I can use the vr_$12_v1.03.adx file. Cannot use tunerpro for logging because there is no ads file for a 1227165 ecu running $12 based bin. Then tunerpro to edit bin, based on scannerpro logs, & finally upload new bin via VL400's NVRAM conversion.

Is Tunerpro's emulation tool the link used to pass the new bin via VL400's high speed ALDL mod to the NVRAM.

Antus, like your all-in-one package. Will study your setup guide while waiting for VL400's NVRAM & 8192 ALDL boards.
