so i have friends just outside of gunnedah now so we were able to bed down at their place, was a good chance to catch up over a few beers (3 cases between 3 people in 3 nights :wtf:) and lovely surroundings!

for those interested i have put up videos of all the elimination rounds and also one of my brother and I together for one of the qualifying runs.

http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=UU ... ature=plcp

i also trialed the abs sensor crank trigger on the 202 for the first time in a real life situation, and these are the results, bit disapointing, not sure if the bracket is flexing or some other issue but needless to say it was retired for the rest of the weekend.

so just for reference sake here is a log of the last run of the day using the dizzy pickup, as you can see its rougher in the low rpms but not much difference higher in the rev range! also shows my methanol fuelling is allmost spot on :)

so to round up the weekend, i managed a best of 8.108 (previous PB at WSID was 8.16) and was knocked out in the semi final by a better reaction time.

Scotty's nos solenoid shit itself so he ran naturally aspirated all weekend and after some tweaking of the tune for no nos he went from 9.7's to a best of 9.355 and got second in the final for his class, and also dialed in a 9.40 and nailed a 9.40 solo run in eliminations, so he walked away with two trophys for his efforts!

biggest issue i had was a flat tyre after the weekend was over so all in all a great weekend, almost perfect weather and great racing!

the # 6 cylinder pipe will curve down after the starter motor and hopefully end up below the other two and merge in there.

i don't know why but i quite enjoy doing this sort of stuff, i guess its a bit like a jigsaw puzzle!
few beers and some grinding/cutting/welding

this is where she sits at the moment .... was kinda planning a semi log type manifold going forward and turning up into the turbo infront of the inlet manifold .... but i've been looking at other cars setups and wondering if i can mount it below the exhaust manifold so will look at how thats going to fit when i get some time and go from there.

if i need to move the rear ones to be higher and then turn down into a turbo that shouldn't be too hard.

well i think my options just got decided for me, pretty sure theres no chance the turbo is going to fit low mount so looks like high mount with semi log manifold will be the ticket.

the chassis rail really needs to be another 2-3 inchs further out to even come close to allowing the turbo to get low enough!

No explanation required mate - that'd be like talking about emotions (shudders) - Gettin in the shed and making shit happen, a blokes happy place!
Good progress - i hope the missus doesn't have to have too many migraines for you to finish - they suck i know!
Build it, Race it, Break/Bend it ; Repeat.

as you can see not alot of room but it should be enough :) i'm going to cut the battery tray out of the car at some stage then i should be able to finish tacking together the manifold and dump pipe enough to allow me to put the car back together and then finish it on the engine stand!! gotta have her ready for casino drags at the end of the month or Jayme will kill me :P

Well a major psycological milestone has been reached tonight, the fact that the turbo is bolted to the manifold in its final location seems like a massive step forwards hahahaha!

anyways i'll let the pics do the talking!
