ok well casino drags weekend was very successful, no damage to either cars and weather was awesome, oh and we had plenty of beers each night :)

got a few vides from the weekend on youtube if anyone is intereested.

Scotty's nitrous V6 v’s a turbo skyline - listen out for about 10mtrs off the line scotty's car just gets crazy loud, thats the nitrous coming on :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXu-yXZpQpo

Me v’s a 6 cylinder falcon - this one is interesting, because last time i went to casino i had the old motor and no slicks, and i was only just a bit faster than a AU Falcon, so i've obviously improved things a little :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsvYvNxGf9o

at the end they allowed untimed grudge matches, so scotty and I lined up - its worth noting that i had mid track splutters (turns out blocked fuel filter to surge tank) and scotty was very low on nitrous ... it should have been an almost side by side pass if we were both on song, didn't end up too bad though.

so i did a best of 8.17 and took out the 6 cylinder class :punk: and scotty did a PB of 8.31 which placed him 6th in the blown class, not bad considering he was up against turbo/supercharged v8's!!

ok so the motor is in at my mates workshop, decking and such to flatten surfaces and get compression where i want!

also got stuck into some wastegate piping and the wastegate is now done :)

this was the best option i could see for mounting it, pretty tight but she clears everything and the outlet from the manifold is almost straight in the direction of the flow of air so im happy with that!

next task will be working on the inlet piping and BOV!

well with the wastegate dump i am going to "see how it goes" cause a few cars i've seen at the drags sounded like shit when they came on :P i'm figuring i'll run it how it is now with no mufflers etc and if i get pinged for noise then i'll worry about muffler etc .... might put it in later see how it goes, don't want to piss off the neighbours either!

i put a bit of effort in while watching bathurst with the tv in the shed sunday haahahah

Good work! I'm so jealous of you having TV in the shed  but the youngest daughter made us all toasties for lunch on Sunday, when she called me in it was the first lap

well the tv doesn't normally live in the shed, i re-located it from the bedroom for the day :) but i do have an antenna on the side of the shed for such occasions :)

well in latest news, got the bottom end together, pistons are less than .0015 thou sticking out of the block (thats the smallest feeler gauge i have hehehe) it could have been a bit more but it will be fine like it is!

just got to CC the head again to see what it comes up to, i'm not going to deck more off it, but just want to measure everything to know what the comp figure is.

also got the oil drain fitting welded into the sump!

hopefully the rest of the motor will go together tomorrow night.

also got a k&n air filter thats a little stumpy one that will fit in the small space i have, aswell as got silicon hoses and clamps on the way and today i got some pipe for the inlet, so its all starting the take shape, think all i'm going to need extra will be some paint, oil etc and i'll be good to go, so aside from any major disasters she should be good for gunnedah in november!
