I'd be surprised most cars stft wouldn't be off by at least 20% in areas (when ltft turned off), but guessing you meant adjust inj base rate to get close first then use inj mul, which I know this but it's a gen3 maf & as they weren't designed for these motors I have it scaled as close possible with inj base & need to tidy with inj mul & yeah there's areas its over 20% but with the 20% converting to 0.2 change in spots I'm going backwards & forwards!

I know with hp tuner software it has a function where it multiplys by percentage difference?

it maybe getting turbulence causing fluctuations in the maf readings this happens when it's further away and larger diameter makes it harder to get a good read, where is it located? tried moving it closer to the throttlebody? ive had this before even to the point where you can hear variations in rpm with constant load and see injector and maf readings pulsate

I guess it could possibly be that, it's in the original location for stock item but as you say with it being bigger with more turbulence it could be causing havoc, I might try it closer to throttle!

It's a bit of a pita too because it has a larger throttle body on it but blade doesn't seal well enough to get 20 iac steps, best I can get is 15 & with that blade sticks shut!

ive found some TB Cast's have larger hole where the tip goes in. So what ive done is raise the idle rpm slightly to get more IAC steps, sometimes works enough

Thanks for the idea with cast T-body & drilled hole & a counter attack for it!

I've attached your excel sheet which I modified to suit L67 references but I've also changed the 2nd ABS (whatever it is) to 150 instead of 100 & makes it a lot less aggressive for anyone that wants it, I had to manually hand change every cell & took over an hour because I don't know how to use excel very well & guessing there was a way to change the calc for every cell but couldn't figure it out but got there eventually!

Next task to try & figure out is whether to use left or right bank STFT for history tables or if there is a way of saving the differences between the 2 like I tried doing a month ago or any other ideas?

Having a play with knock AD output in the datastream, will be testing again with a few degrees less spark and see how it repsonds and monitor cylair/maf etc, if all goes well should come in handy for spark tuning and tuning the knock system addon times, ignore times, recovery/attack rates. Also should have two spare inputs with full 0-255 range for Wideband or another input. Should be able to do it on all models.

Orange line on WOT is Knock AD

Noticed this tonight, thought id mention it here, for those that might be on the lookout for a MAF, there is a place selling brand new ones same model as enhanced is tested with on ebay atm in the US, very good price also.

do you need a harness adapter (seem to recall it was mentioned a while back) or is it plug and play?

yep you need a splitter to run it as it has extra pins for internal temp sensor. This place below is the cheapest ive found for an adaptor, also linked in first post.

Hi Everyone,

Have another small code update, First release is VS V6 N/A which is available now, as i have been testing it for a good month or more on my own car and a few others, all models will end up with these being added, these are the new features.

B10 & A5 inputs enabled on non Flash PCM's
Knock Active Loop Monitoring

These new inputs can be used for any 0-5volt input, MAP, Wideband, temp sensor etc, the same as we have been using the injector monitor line for, though instead of 0-60 count range these have 0-255. Obviously the injector monitor line can be still used giving 3 available inputs.

Knock Active Loop monitoring is a rolling counter from 0-255, every time the knock code is run the number will increase by 1, by default if the code is run 2 times consecutively and knock is still present or increasing on the 3rd loop timing will start to be taken out, given ignore/addon time has runout.
This is a handy feature for a few reasons, being able to see valvetrain or other vibration noise preventing spark advance increase, seeing knock present but not receiving a knock active bitmask, tuning for Maximum Brake Torque without a dyno.

I have confirmed by testing this on a car tuned on the dyno for MBT, the knock active loops were minimal after doing another dyno run.

Hopefully the below shows what it can be used for.

See below for example of knock noise, always showed up at ~2000rpm, no timing taken out, fitting knock socks alleviated this problem.

Following 2 before and after Knock loop tuning on my car, didn't have one that was similar with knock loops for before, even given the change in ambient air temp will give some flow gains but retuning the whole spark curve via knock loop you can see the rolling gains throughout the rev range.
