Re: Fuel Cut RPM High
Yegh I was thinking bout that more and guessed I might lose the SDI which is pretty heavily integrated into the car...it's something I will have to look into further. Also I run a bit more then 15psi boost.
Is it possible to maybe extend the map for RPM on the current bin in much the same way the MAF tables have been extended? As this is the only function I have any issues with in the current bin which works brilliantly on the VX...not that I want to push my luck guys :p you have done a great job so far

Re: Fuel Cut RPM High
I have patched other VT/VX/VY bins to increase the rev limit to whatever you want (it uses a 16 bit item instead of 8 bit). Will speak to the1 and see if this can be incorporated in the extended bins. You lose the high vehicle speed fuel cut, which is not normally a problem!

Legend...thats much appreciated. I must admit I am really impressed with just how much the delco system has to give, admittedly it's with a great deal of support but obviously there are some smart bastards out there. Said it a few times but thanks everyone.

Re: Fuel Cut RPM High
the delco is really only limited to the code thats been written for it

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: Fuel Cut RPM High
Just following this 1 up, did the RPM limit ever get extended & patched in?
I've noticed on a few tunes I've done that if I set for max 6400 rpm & same low limit as factory it misses limiter all together?

Re: Fuel Cut RPM High
I did one for another user ages ago and AFAIK it worked ok (changed the calc to use the high resolution RPM instead of the 6400RPM limited value), it also removed the high speed cut code. There is a limit to the dwell and spark settings so they need to be played with if your trying to go well above the normal 6400 RPM limit.

Re: Fuel Cut RPM High
Oh cool, there must be a problem with the factory coding of the flash based PCM's as I've seen quite a few go above 6400rpm when setting it to that & then having low limit 25rpm below that!
Re: Fuel Cut RPM High
the fuel cut is calculated in one of the minor code loops, which means that it is only checked every 12.5ms, so the engine may have accelerated well past the fuel cut off rpm before it is noticed. the PCM will not stop an injection pulse once it has begun so you can still get a few more bangs in once it has noticed before it starts to slow down.
