Help cant setup logging on my vt v6

Hi all, having trouble connecting to my vt v6, cannot get the data stream to show up in prefrences. having no trouble logging and editing bins on my vs v8. but having nothing but a headache trying to connect to a vt. Any help would be great as i am still in a learning process, cheers.

Going to need a bit more information, what bin file are you using, what ADX, what hardware etc...

Hi I'm using the bin file I downloaded from the ecu, adx I tried to use is $A5C, $A5F, $A5J and K with no luck, stock hardware and memcal. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, I got the vt v6 plugin to show up in custom tools and datastreams but still nothing. Won't even try to connect. ?

maybe tell us what bin file you are using & what the hardware is your trying to connect to the communication port with?

?? my vs 5.0L i just load the ADX file make sure prefrences are right, plug in ALDL link to usb port hit aquire data and im logging. why the need for a bin file? Im not trying to make any changes just log data from dashboard.
What have i missed, sorry not the best week im having

No I don't need or want the bin file just want to make sure your using the correct 1 for application!
On the VT V6 what is the processor code written on the PCM?

It doesn't really matter with VT anyway, should just be the $A5 ADX, your not leaving the VS V8 loaded in TP5 are you as I think that is $A6?

What your describing with $A5c, $A5k & $A5F there XDF's your talking about you know there for editing BIN's you need to change the loaded ADX for logging as they all use the same $A5 ADX!

I think the issue is using the plugin on VT, it does not like the amount of chatter Try reverting back to using the built in TP data acq. interface and you should be able to use the A5 ADX from here .. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopi ... =700#p8371
