vt series 1 hsv 5.7 conversion problem!

Holden/Delco Tuning. ALDL, OBD 1.5. Circa 1989 to 2004.

It's actually ISS not ESS on vt series 1. From memory it is a small black box taped onto the harness and will have several black (I think) wires coming out of it.

If you follow the wires should be able to work it out and bypass it. There is not a lot of info on it so not exactly sure how it works.

yep using one of those and i have it on that setting,
this is what it tells me
9:10:32 PM Silence Detected, waited 50mS
9:10:32 PM Requesting Chatter To Be Disabled For Device F5
9:10:32 PM No Response
9:10:32 PM No Devices Found
9:10:32 PM COM1 closed
9:10:32 PM COM1 already closed

ah thanks for the info, there wasnt anything like that in the wiring loom though

Attached is the bin that should be loaded to the nvram, vats off but otherwise standard rt v2 bin. The xdf flag bit setting is not correct, this bin tests OK for vats off.

I am not sure which aldl interface your using (ebay?) so will likely have to experiment with some settings or ask the seller for what it will use. Check the drivers are loaded, the com port is correct, and echo on and off.

yeah im borrowing a mates untill the one i ordered off you comes,
As for the settings i swear i have tried everything and still no luck, no idea where to go from here

Sounds like you'l need to reburn the nvram in the burner with vats off bin. If it's one bought from here it should have been preburnt and tested if you requested it. If it's from fleebay then who knows.

yeah i ordered it off here through vl400, when i get a aldl port from here i can just do that with flash tool yeah?

Yeah should be able to change the tune then upload it with the flashtool
