larger T/B
Hi everyone I have just put a larger throttle body on 5l vt and because the engine has more power at less throttle due to more air at less throttle position the trans changes softer.
My question is can I correct this by changing something in the tps settings or do I have to change all the shift points and force motor?
Thanks in advance.

I believe you will have to change the shift tables, as they are generally referencing tps readings ... you might find if you can work out the percentage difference between the old and new throttle openings you might be able to apply that percentage to the entire table to make things easier.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: larger T/B
Not sure with v8 def, but there is normally a scalar to re- adjust tps actually percentage!
Would need to know bin, then look at xdf & if it's there can adjust it while logging!

Re: larger T/B
Compare tps vs mgc with new and old tb if you can. Then you can figure out how many percent to change tps gain

Hi thanks for all your help.
I have the CFZB tune with the VT V8 V1.3 $A6C and I can not see any tps settings in the XDF.
Cheers.

There is actually upto version 1.41 of that xdf but it's still not in it!
I just checked & if you copy tps throttle gain out of 1 of the other xdfs into $a6c & change it's address to $36f0 you'll be sorted!

Re: larger T/B
I just opened it up and the only tps setting in there is at 0.00.
Is it meant to be on those numbers or is something not right.
