Hi i just stuck an l67 from my vs calais into manual vs series 3 ute and now i have bad hunting problems at idle until it stalls.
I used the ute manual harness and had to extend the crank angle sensor and the cam sensor due to just a little short by the time it went round the charger.
The ecu is the original 728 and i have tried the 0672 and still the same issue and the memcal i burnt was just the ckum tune with both manual options selected(i even tried the standard ckum tune before changes and ran the same).
I tried changing the maf and still no luck but the thing is before i swaped the motor it ran perfect and so did the ute so i know the harness was ok.
Checked for fault codes and there are none but do you the fuel pump could be the issue or though it drives fine and no probs all the way to redline.
Thanks and any help would be greatful.

Re: l67 hunting
Compare manual and auto na v6 bins to get an idea of the changes made to idle.
Flywheel and clutch inertia is different to the load a flex plate and torque converter put on the engine at idle.
Once you've compared the differences you'll have an idea of what parameters need changing.
Note that a na a sc auto have different settings due to the sc, so you'll need to take these into account as well.

Re: l67 hunting
fuel pump is dual speed but that wont be an issue at idle.
by manual a T5 or Getrag? As the tune options will be different. The wiring will also be different.
Spark and IAC and few misc things are different to.

Re: l67 hunting
Ok thanks it is a getrag.
Re: l67 hunting
yep so tick Getrag flag and manual flag, the speed sensor is wired the same as an auto. Do some comparison between Manual VS V6 and Auto CKUM, bottom end of spark table, idle spark and IAC settings, change those and it should become a heap better.
