from what im understanding theres no wideband sensor out there thats plug and play? is there a thread i missed out on during my search to do with o2 sensors. dont want to be asking the same stuff over again

thanks for the tip, it would be good to hold a steadyish rpm and dial in that area on the VE. I know for a fact rich on initial or any run long enough for that matter will glaze bores pretty quick. by rich I mean pig rich, 11-11.5 is what I would try to stay above, the leaner the better really as its only load free revving anyway. gotcha, run the bitch a bit on the lean side. i should be able to get a rough indication of my AF ratios with the standard o2 ? ill try to get my hands on a wideband kit soon as i can but for the mean time im stuck with the crummy one so i guess i got to make the most of it. anyone in oz that sells the kit in Melbourne preferably

there are plug and play devices as far as they have a display gauge and don't need to be connected to the ecm... I use an innovate MTX-L and it does all I need! I got it from kade speed and marine, they are not in Melbourne but they'll happily post it to you.

as far as tuning it with the narrowband, it will probably be ok to get it close enough to run the cam in etc, but its always guesswork with a narrowband especially if its an old one and not heated!

yeah we arnt playing with overcarbed engines here lol.It takes a relatively long time to glaze a bore and raw wet fuel.ive seen a few of the chev boys here have bedding in issues but its after miles of rich road running with badly setup carbs.it just wears the rings out fast
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

Well yeah I have suppose I should of stated that at the begining. Motors gone out to 355cubes running a fairly large cam and will sure be running a larger injector. without a size increase or an injector change and with a big cam you'll probably find its richer due to less vaccum, but the cubes with make it leaner and the injector probably make it richer so it could be anywhere!

from what i have seen it depends on several factors. Some types of engine suffer after just the run in.
