Re: injector bpc
if your saying no changes do anything it makes me wonder if its not in limp home mode or something like that ?
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: injector bpc
I can change idle, and idle timing and get a reaction just no fuel changes seem to lean it away from so rich.
No engine light and when it goes into diagnostic-limp mode the thermo fan switches on (I run the thermo and temps etc from the ecu). I have put it in diagnostic mode to set timing and also unplugged TPS while running and engine light came on just to test all that and all seems fine.
Just pulled the fuel rails and ran fuel pump and one injector squirted heaps of fuel but after i turned key of then back on it wouldnt do it again.
I had a spare 775 injector so I swapped them and couldn't get any of them to leak again.
I also pulled the 4 barrel throttlebody of and all the bottom of the manifold was wet with fuel.
Put everything back together but still rich.
I'll pull the rails again in the next couple of days and recheck them again and also check the bottom of manifold when it should be dry after sitting for a period of time and go from there.
Thanks for the advise and help so far everyone it's very much appreciated

Re: injector bpc
i'd be interested to see a datalog if you can get one ?
also earlier you said the fuel pressure was 30psi, why is it now 45psi ? do you have an adjustable reg or something ?
I have seen dodgy CTS wiring cause rich condition but I guess you wont know that without a log ?
when you say you've changed ve and afr's how much of the table are you changing ?

Re: injector bpc
I don't have any data logging software. I only use a basic efi live version to monitor map pressures etc to help when tuning.
I initially wound pressure back to 30psi invade I was over pressuring the injectors but wound it back up where it should be. Running a aeromotive adjustable reg and b&m electric gauge.
I'm really paranoid about running it much as it's just been honed and new rings.
The ecu and tune I had in it before I pulled engine out was fine as to why I'm thinking it's nothing to do with the tuning side of things.
I will also run efi live again and check my map and air temp etc readings and make sure nothing stupid is going on there.

Re: injector bpc
as big change in cam can make the engine really rich if it idles with less vaccum, so your saying it the same tune, just changed injectors and engine mods ?
when you say 45psi, is thie with no vaccum hose connected to the reg ? because thats when it should be that high.

Re: injector bpc
No vacume connected to reg.
Same cam as before. Only change is hone, new rings, different inlet manifold and injectors.
I have tuned cars from standard tunes to match cams, inlets etc before with no major dramas.
This thing is just stupid rich.
I changed the complete table in the tune to answer for couple posts ago.desperate times lol.

Re: injector bpc
The first thing I would do is get any datalog, not for the data but just to prove the ecu is running properly.

Re: injector bpc
yeah and i'd be looking at map sensor ? is it working properly, getting good vacuum at closed throttle ? there has to be something funny going on to stop ve and afr changes from having any effects!

Re: injector bpc
Yeah, ive seen issues like that due to bad map sensor wiring or incorrect 1/2/3 bar settings.

Re: injector bpc
so is map moving around in efilive if the earth breaks on the map plug you get readings up near 100kpa and you will run rich as
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem
