It will be a good candidate for the upcoming $11P software, too.

Like 12p but for computers that can run the factory $11 code (and the 4l60e). Its in development, more will be announced when its ready. But its coming, so for longer term projects you can plan to use it. Untill then can run factory $11 which is well defined anyway.

So, what's the advantage over the programs that exist already? I'm not really up with the ecu side of things, more the mechanical.

Mainly for boost applications. But its very well defined, has extra features and is easy to work with. See here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=356

But you are better of coming at it from the mechanical angle. If you want/need to do something, ask and we'll tell you the best way to achieve it.

I don't think that the Auto ECU will plug into the VN wiring loom. You need to get a manual ECU.

There are many ways to go about the harness.
1 Find a manual vr/vs ecu but a rip off price people want for them
2 Get a vs auto harness ,another thing people think are gold plated.
3 Grab some pcm conectors of a vr v6 harness and repin the vn harness you have.
4 And the most easiest way is to buy a vn/vp ecm (cheap as chips) and make it high speed 8192 baud coms by fitting one of vl400s sxr boards.
Hope this helps abit

After having a look, I now have a vn and vr wiring diagram, all the printouts are the same so I can't see why it won't work, or am I missing something?
