Luddenham is just a stone's throw from Oran Park, and 5 minutes drive for me
Anyone else see the similarity between the proposed track layout and OP's South circuit? I'd put money on this being run counter clockwise ;)
OP's PO's own a lot of land around Luddenham so I doubt it's a coincidence. Looking at the photos I know exactly where that is.
The main straight is just over 1/8 mile, and coming out of the hairpin through turn 10 looks fast enough to hit the straight at a fair pace - the pit wall there will collect black marks in no time.
There's a lot of tight corners and enough elevation change to be interesting, but hope they do something about the dam :D

Hmmm... actually it doesn't appear that LPC (OP) have anything to do with this. I guess if they did, it would be significantly bigger.
And when you look at the scale of it, this is going to be a very small track :(
Still, that just means it'll be less awkward for the small light cars than for the big v8s
I'll be a regular there assuming it actually happens, but I just wonder if this track will be the final nail in the coffin for "Oran Park II" that was planned for Wilton/Bargo (but was rejected by the govt).
But a small track is better than no track, and a nearby track is better than having to drag my POS to wakefield park and back ;)

If they're planning on having it open by October, the alfa might almost be ready to start tuning by then so I better get stuck into it

Found this on their facebook page:

Hey Everyone,

Here is the Approximate circuit 1 layout.

main straight is down hill, hairpins up the hill. back straight will be over a crest, into a right into crest left, then down hill, once at the bottom you head back uphill to the second last corner then around to the straight and do it all again but faster!

big thanks to our designers Shane Beresford and Lukas Van dijk

Luddenham Raceway will be happening very soon!!!

They got council approval 2 weeks ago, apparently it could be open by next March!

The layout looks a lot better than some of the earlier plans.

much the same in QLD, all just slowing closing up. Street Sprints seem to becoming more popular
