i've seen a 304 rebuilt, 286 cam all the usual shit, cut the bananas off at the fuel rail level, added a box and twin TB's on the front .... 150hp at the wheels or something, put the stock setup back on, 200hp at the wheels, same dyno lol!
That would be the Walker manifold. Seems it is a total failure. I don't think there made any more.
no this one was a home made job and it was average :P

Agree on the average job, we only ever made them for the Vauxhall inline 6 engines and they were simple as they had round inlet ports :)

Sounds good, Bolt on top piece? Trumpets? Ported runners?

One will be a stock modified with 75mm LS1 TB and a few other bits to try and make it run cooler. The other? don't know yet. Reality is that if I can't achieve what I want with the stock modified than it will be an after market manifold upgrade. I want to keep this one looking standard at this stage. I'm not looking for huge power, just a good cruiser.

im looking for a manifold now .weve been out for the afternoon tuning and messing round.found another 70mm TB and with a few tweaks to the idle stop to get enough idle adjustment its working ok LOL we also removed the pod filter and fitted a stock box and clean k&n panel filter .the results 92 kpa at all rpm at full throttle not too good LOL.removed panel 95kpa dropping to 92kpa high in the revs.adding timing made it even worse.think if we want to go any further we need to get into the neck on the TB and do some serious hogging out and fit a bigger TB LOL.this engine is only mild but the bananas dont allow its full potential but it is a torquey son of a bitch from idle to 5000 its just humming and with a little extra timing after max torque its kept it pulling quiet well above that but its definately not got high rpm power.perfect quick street combo that will last for ages due to low redline.after 60km and 20L of fuel worth of abuse tuning the hot idle oil pressure was still at 25psi and it had a lot more grunt than when we left.T700 on the other hand dont know its shifting great no slip at all (stage 2 bigest holes ) but it made a not nice noise and grabbed a neutral changing from 1st to 2nd under full power dont know if the pump sucked a gulp of air and cavitated on the launch or what but we thought we were walking home haha

i would love to have a play with a TP dual plane and 4bbl TB on it but its built for daily driving and cruising not all out power my mates stoked with both power and economy and is happy to just drive it with it pulling vacuam so we can focus on other projects :D and he has a 360 6L stroker 304 in the corner thats getting returned to efi when it goes in one of the said projects and it will be carb style inlet manifold most likely the big single plane manifold thats allready on it
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

Well after the test n tune I decided to alter a few things as a bit of a stab in the dark and have raised the rev limit and added a bit more fuel and timing.
I ran a best 14.55@96mph on the day using nothing special street tires which gripped and smoked up very nicely.

So the plan is to upgrade the following:
Intake Manifold with a 4-barrel after market one and keep it Injected.
Use a 80mm Throttle Body
Up the compression if possible to 10:1 from the current 9.3:1 by planing the heads, this would have to combine with the Intake as it may need to be port matched.
Change the diff gearing from 3.08 to either 3.9 or 4.1 as I have both choices

I am going to start on my other parked project either before this is done or after as it has sat for a couple of years.

Here is the changed WOT run which got me a 14.61
