don't you just do that manually? eg. average out any spiky bits.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

You can do it manually, or if you have a look at the top of the map, it does have a "smooth" function in the drop down box.

How do i use the smooth function? How much do you need to smooth by? Eg. Is it better to smooth by 0.30 or 0.90 etc?

i think that really depends on your error factor, if your fuelling is on just slightly out then go by half factor, but if its out by alot, larger changes are more suitable.

that said i normally make changes from wideband logs or blms etc and then manually go over the VE table and adjust as i see fit to get rid of any spikes.

obviously everyone has their methods of tuning, you need to find what works for you i guess.

I prefer to do it manually. I just had a play before with the smooth function on a standard VS V6 ignition map using .5 smoothing factor, in some places it added a couple of degrees of timing and other places it took a couple out, so if you have large changes between cells when using the smooth function it can make fairly large changes.

Why not have a play with the smooth function, just don't save it. Once you have smoothed the table, use the compare function and difference function at the top of the map to see what changes it's made when compared to the original table.

i setup the A & Z keys in tunerpro as increment and decrement, and then just use arrows to work around the map and a/z to get them all smoothed, fairly fast, its also a good way to update numbers on the dyno, leave the mouse cursor over the update button when emulating, and a/z then hit the mouse button and it updates pretty quickly that way too.

When doing it this way how do you know which cells need to be smoothed and by how much?

I just had a play with the smooth function on my ve table. It seems to be making the numbers smaller. If I keep hitting smooth the numbers keep getting lower and lower.

post a screenshot of the table its easier to offer suggestions when you can see a graph.
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem
