well im kind of annoyed that a bought these but also I need it cause I need the fuel system capacity in the long run, the annoyed part is because I bought it before my head stud issue, and if I hadn't I could have used the money to get the motor fixed, anyways!!

so this is a 5 ltr surge tank with dual pump mounts and pickups to replace the 2ltr single pump unit I am currently using, its also fitted with AN fittings whereas the other one just has barbs!

theres obviously a few more pieces im going to need, and I am also thinking once I get all the connectors I need I should be able to mount the pumps closer to the surge tank and then just trim up the mounting plate.

Plan is to run 2 x 044's and have one of them feeding the motor off boost and use the $12P flex outputs to activate the second pump on boost only, this will be to help with dead heading them and over heating etc.

so this is basically a trimatic speedo cable end, cut off and then a powerglide speedo drive welded on the end of it, which happens to be the right thread for the vn sender, then there is a modified internal drive shaft to mate the two together!

its all hooked up and working now, will have to get on the dyno or something to calibrate it properly though!

oh and get under there with a hammer to make some more clearance around the sender!

if I was running petrol then no I wouldn't need two pumps!

when I last took it to the dyno on methanol (with a slipping trans and in 2nd gear) it made 327hp at the wheels, and that was on the limit of the fuel system, it was a bit lean at first and we screwed the pressure reg up and it got it just rich enough then any change stopped making a pressure difference, but that said, we are looking at something around 450hp at the flywheel, and a 044 pump is 700hp on petrol I believe, so you need 2.3 times more methanol than petrol, so theoretically I shouldn't even be making the power that I am ?

anyways plan is two pumps, big ass feed line and hopefully no fuel pressure drop on boost anymore!

first stage of the new fuel system is done! just need to change a few bits to get the second pump plumbed in then a 1/2 feed line to the fuel rail!
