yeah and its got the wire gauze. When the pleats collapse that restricts flow a lot.

Yeah I am looking for suppliers for them now. Not looking good though.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

in the roktec link they have a FAQ, perhaps the 5/50 lacks oxidation inhibitors or anti-oxidants over the 15/50

Oxidation
Lubricants will oxidise when exposed to air or products of combustion in engine oils. The oxidation level can be determined using infra-red signatures of the lubricant and any increase in oxidation from the "new oil" value is a measure of how the oil is standing up to the harsh environment in which it must operate. The smaller the number quoted in the report, the lower the amount of oxidation. Conversely a high oxidation level will indicate the likelihood of the oil thickening and eventual failure of the lubricated component due to a lack of effective lubrication. In applications where the lubricant has only minimal exposure to air such as sealed gear compartments and hydraulic systems, the oxidation level would not be expected to increase to the same extent as occurs in engine lubrication. As such, the lubricant life is generally longer in these compartments than in engines. Oxidation preventing additives, called oxidation inhibitors or anti-oxidants, are generally incorporated into most formulations to counteract the effect that oxygen and heat, the major cause of the oxidation, have on the lubricant.

Picked it up for $700, came with gearbox, full wiring loom. Can't fault it.

Not sure yet, was going to go down 10psi/xp hot cam route but everyone's doing/done that, thinking perhaps putting the YT 1.95 roller rockers on it and getting a custom grind? Will prob need dual row chain setup, balancer delete, new gaskets, lifters, springs etc. All new learning for me so will prob ask dumb questions lol.

i don't really know what this XP cam is, but i can tell you from 202 boost experience a "boost cam" definately makes a good improvement on the same motor!

XP Hot cam seemed to be all the rage with L67's for a long time, ZZP is where to get them, mace sell them also. But cause of the lift id say is why they require going back to stock ratio rockers?

I was reading up a post here which put the question in my head about keeping the YT 1.95 rockers and going custom grind.

well i guess its just another way of the same result ....

more lift = more air thats all there is to it, but how you go about it is the question.... do you put more lift on the lobe of the cam or on the rocker!

personally i think doing it on the lobe is going to be better for the life of the rockers, but then if the high ratio rockers haven't failed then they must be ok!
