Re: holden hz 350 overlander conversion
yea thought about that just didnt want to void warranty on it thats all just in case we have to send it back or anything. maybe just remove the pins from the plastic connector and find some female pins and heat shrink or something then if i need to just cut the heat shrink off the put the pins back in the connector. but i swear ive seen this type of connector somewhere before just cant remember were i think it was the back of a 2 way or something

Nice conversion. I think the map sensor will be OK. They are just 0 to 5 volt out. Just a note on the distributor. The original design from GM was a Delco and as your plugs deteriorated the required voltage goes up and the strength of the magnetic field from the coil also goes up and gets picked up by the relucter and causes a false ignition fire, which depending on RPM can cause detonation particularly on cylinder 7 due to firing order. I would hope Edelbrock have solved the problem.

you can actually buy a extension lead for that dizzy plug, this would give you the required plug you want and also approx. 1mtr of lead with it.
from memory it has a female and male plug on the lead.

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: holden hz 350 overlander conversion
this new dizzy has an external coil unlike the first dizzy i modded so shouldnt get any interference from the mag field but good to know in the future with those dizzys cheers. i found the patch harness to thanks ma have to order it if i can find one in the mountain of old harness at work. i also found that iveco daily maps sensors are pretty much the same as the ls1 style map except it 3 bar 0-5v and also has a built in MAT sensor not that i would use that side im unsure of the operating range but i have a brand new one sitting in my tool box at work and can get harness connectors easy so might try and use that. were going to the extent of efi this thing and were half way through and hes already had a couple of thoughts about force induction already so 3 bar map would prob be a good idea for the future

Is it easy to get the car registered over there? I think WA is easier than NSW.

Re: holden hz 350 overlander conversion
yea easy as licencing over here is slack as half the cars and trucks shouldnt be on the road but this has already been through licencing before chassis been engineer checked and its been registered with that engine before while it was carb so should pass pits easy
