okay pulled out the speed sensor the gear is fine and turns freely ?

i can check that im buy myslef but having a look inside the gearbox the cog looks alright and the gearbox came out of my mates vr and speedo was working fine

its just that is two different sensors/drives.

one has a long plastic adaptor that joins the cog on the bottom of drive to the sensor itself. its possible this has fallen out if you have pulled it apart.

before i pulled it out today it wasnt touched at all i wired it while it was in

When you first wired the sensor up you didn't get the wires wrong an fry it?
I am just going through all possible things.
I also take it you have a clean earth?

i looked into before i tryed haha umm yes i have ran the earth up into the car an tapped into somthing
i just took it for a drive when i take off in first it jumps up to 10 kms real quick then drops down

10kms in the pcm log, or on the dash cluster? Do the log and the cluster show the same thing? Is there any difference if you connect only the cluster or only the pcm?

it only comes up on the cluster i haven't tried that yet i didnt think it would work haha i shall try it tomorrow
