Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
aslong as theres not too much dumping of the clutch etc i think you'll find the gearbox will be fine up untill you get good traction
from what i understand the m20 is not much different in strength to a supra 5 speed, its just not a 5 speed and has a shit second gear ratio!

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
gearbag is handling it fine with its new half puck half organic clutch.has 6 ceramic pucks on one face and a full normal ring of organic compound on the other and is bigger than stock unsprung centre and new higher pressure pressure plate.but its been setup to press easy so the owners wife can daily drive it
.sadly in a rush tuning it i popped a headgasket first hit of boost after turning it up to 12psi but man does it hammer on boost around 2200 full on by 3200 might even give the vb a run for its money.

Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
im not surprised, ACL stocks have gone to shit in recent times, think your looking for a acl bh110gtr or something similar.
i can confirm that they last ok with 18psi boost heheheh but thats with 9.5:1 comp and alcohol!
oh and arp head studs
on a side note, im interested to know which cylinder blew out ? was it into water or another cylinder, or out the side ?

Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
number 3 and straight to water 5 cylinders off boost get it on boost and blow the water out and it hits 6 runs hard LOL plug came out wet and then water come out the hole LOL oil not milky but tiny water bubbles on stick when i pulled it gasket here allready someone had one in there shed permaseal AG390 .seems to spit a lot of oil out the rocker cover into the breather before the gasket let go but doesnt fume at all im thinking its filling the rocker cover with oil and its struggling to drain back going to run 2 drainbacks from rocker cover to the sump or side covers.
ill get it apart in a couple of days and see exactly where it went.

Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
is there a baffle on the breather hole ?
by the way do you realise that head gasket is the red motor one not blue/black ?
the 110 part number is the one you need! water galleries in the wrong spot on the passenger side of the block on red motor one.

Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
yeh that's right the red motor gasket is missing the 4 steam holes that the blue/black need to cool down around the ports.
So when you use a blue/black head on a red block you drill these holes in the block as well.
