Re: The1's Daily
I checked all the rods with no bearings and bolts tightened to 30nm, they all measure 2.375" ID and are clean inside can still read the part numbers etc, #6 though as you would expect went oval measuring 2.390" vertically, they all look straight to a metal ruler. So if i can pickup 1 replacement i could reuse stock rods.

Re: The1's Daily
Got quoted this grind from Clive Cams.
207 @ 0.050"
.507" Lift
112LSA
Sounds on the money, -17 overlap? Nice for boost.

Re: The1's Daily
Get it done with a tighter LSA, 220dur, .520in, .540ex and watch it breathe heavy. Idle will be chopped up tooThe1 wrote:Got quoted this grind from Clive Cams.

Re: The1's Daily
112 is already pretty narrow for a blower cam isnt it?

Re: The1's Daily
aren't turbo/SC cams ideally wide LSA?

Re: The1's Daily
i believe it's the overlap/gap that's the issue, to workout the duration between IN/EX as far as i could find out you use this.
Add Intake and Exhaust Duration
Divide it by 4
Subtract the LSA
Times it by 2
So that would give -17 separation with the cam i was quoted, obviously more cam duration decreases the gap,
like for instance Mace's Comp Cam's Stage 3
Duration @ .050" is 230°/224°.
Lift is .544/.536 with 1.6 rockers.
Lobe separation is 117 degrees.
Which would only give you -7
Let me know if im wrong.

Re: The1's Daily
You're on the money. M90 is a strange thing. Think of it as a really really really good N/A engine and you'll get why I'm suggesting a narrower LSA. Open and close times are everything. LSA will help bring those in line to use the boost better in my experience

Re: The1's Daily
The other one i looked at was this one to use with my 1.95 yt's slightly more lift and duration
210/210 at .050"
Intake Lift .260" (.514" lift at 1.98:1 rocker ratio)
Exhaust Lift .260" (.514" lift at 1.98:1 rocker ratio)
114 LSA

Exhaust Lift .260" (.514" lift at 1.98:1 rocker ratio)
114 LSA
