Swapping memcal with battery connected?
Is it really really naughty to swap the memcal on an '808 with the vehicle battey still connected? Probably not as bad as with the engine running but is it likely to damage anything or maybe just cause the software to lock up?

Re: Swapping memcal with battery connected?
I always usually swap them with the battery connected if im tuning with a memcal (ie. not realtime nvram in there)
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Should be fine, just dont have the key turned on.
The RAM likely wont get cleared if your new memcal is the same code type so it can work out better to retain any learnt trims, but also need to keep that in mind if you want them cleared!
